Alpha Rock Star will make you yearn--a great read!

OMG! What a rush in this Virgin Heat book 2; its another hit by Nadia—this story is about Kayla who is in college and writes on the college paper. She has to write an article on rich rock star Carson Poole. Oh how she doesn’t want to because she finds him to be soo sexist yet at the same time she finds him wildly attractive. Now she doesn’t want to let him know she finds him the same way. She heads over to Poole’s place, determined to write this story and ONLY this story and not become one of *Poole’s Women*. She holds on to this promise until he answer’s the door, shirtless and she is almost drooling. She barely makes it thru the interview and tells herself to get thru the interview. What happens is something you have to read to experience. Kayla barely makes it out by the skin of her teeth, thinking to herself that the alpha male Poole is a lethal weapon, wishing her boyfriend were more like him. If so, then Poole wouldn’t have done what he did. Only, Poole isn’t done with her and that is what causes his girlfriend or sort of girlfriend to go nuts. Things go nutty from here…This is one hot and crazy read involving an alpha man, a na�ve girl and the boyfriend and sort of girlfriend(s) which makes for one crazy, hot action.
This story will make you Pant, burn, long and desire –all at the same time. Nadia writes the story with such great action and emotion, that you can place yourself in the MC shoes. I cannot wait to read more in the Virgin Heat series.

WOW!!! HOT!!! Nadia never disappoints me with her writing, she writes incredibly hot, erotic, makes you want more books!! I cannot wait for her next book, I know I will not be let down! Kayla is not satisfied with the sex between her and her boyfriend Dylan. She is a college student that writes in the college newspaper, she has to interview Carson Poole. Carson is a really hot, rich rock star that is a misogynist pig and he believes that females are sex objects. Kayla knowing this dresses in layers so that he cannot tell that she has a toned hot body; however, when he takes her into the studio to watch the band practice she gets really hot in there so the layers start coming off. Carson blackmails her into giving him sexual attention, but what kind of attention does he get? His girlfriend is watching but afterwards she went to tell Dylan everything. When Kayla showed up at home, that she shared with Dylan she sees the Carson's girlfriend is there and she can tell that Dylan knows everything. About the time she gets home Carson shows up and breaks the door, he degrades where she lives and he degrades Dylan. What he blackmails next is just what Kayla had been wanting but what is it? Hot, steamy....

Kayla’s ultimate fantasy is to be taken every which way but loose by a hot rock star. Coincidentally, she’s on assignment to interview Carson Poole about the release of his band’s new album. Poole is an ultra-successful rocker despite marginal talent, with a tendency to act like an unapologetic misogynist pig. He’s also a gorgeous hunk of bad boy with an alpha vibe that triggers an instinctive response in the band’s female fans, so don’t worry about him growing up anytime soon. Kayla tries to convince herself to focus on her assignment, but Poole would rather focus on her nice-looking boobs in that cute little t-shirt she decided to wear. As you can probably guess, Poole isn’t at all subtle when he offers Kayla a chance to hook-up with him. Kayla sort of tries to stand up for herself, but for some reason can’t get her mouth around the word “no”. What she can get her mouth around (barely) is Poole. Well, you can’t blame a girl for living the dream – or for slobbering all over it, for that matter. There’s also the hassle of resolving things with Kayla’s pathetic boyfriend Dylan, but at least Poole does the decent thing and lets him watch his used-to-be girlfriend beg for it during the encore. Maybe he got off on it, too.

This is sort of a "classic" book that I wanted to have because it is very useful, a lot of good examples, very practical and at the same time very scientific. I am very happy I got it. By the way, I bought a pre-owned book, and its condition was simply excellent. For a good price I got an excellent book, in excellent condition. All my books arrived at an earlier time than expected. Yes, I will continue buying from Amazon and its branches.

This book is very comprehesive and easy to understand. I could not have survived Water Chemistry with out it. The example problems are given in a step by step form making it easy to follow and understand. My class assigned book was Water Chemistry by Mark Benjamin which was impossible to follow and/or comprehend. This book saved my life. A must have for any Water Chemistry class.

Too much love for Mexico

You will be surprised of how much this woman knows and loves her country. Her lover takes the reader to see the most amazing spots in earth and to try the most exotic dishes ever and all of it without leaving Mexico. The fancy part of the narrative is that she drags you everywhere with unimaginable sensuality...
My very good friend is very good friend with the writer and told me that Sara lives in a flat with her kids and she her husband and his kids are her neighbors.
This year a MOVIE based on this book came out. I loved it but I was biased by having read the book.

Recomiendo la lectura de esta novela. La descripci�n de las distintas regiones de M�xico que hace la autora, convierten a ese pa�s en un destino obligado para los lectores de la obra. Desde el paisaje hasta la gastronom�a resultan una constante tentaci�n a lo largo de la lectura. A�n cuando el paisaje, consono y c�mplice con las circunstancias del personaje principal, se torna triste y decadente, no deja ser atractivo. La historia narrada es tristemente ingeniosa. Pero la narraci�n tan detallada y la estructura de la novela, en la que el lector sabe que se encontrar� con un cap�tulo narrado en forma de carta y luego vendr� otro en el que esencialmente se describir� alguna zona de M�xico, y as� sucesivamente se seguir�n alternando, resulta mon�tono; particularmente la enumeraci�n de lo que el personaje principal encontraba en su recorrido a lo largo del pa�s resulta un tanto agobiante.

The stage is in darkness. Harsh music is heard as dim blue lights come up. One after another, seven women run onto the stage from each of the exits. They all freeze in postures of distress. The follow spot picks up the lady in brown. She comes to life and looks around at the other ladies. All of the others are still. She walks over to the lady in red and calls to her. The lady in red makes no response.

dark phrases of womanhood

of never havin been a girl

half-notes scattered

without rhythm/no tune

distraught laughter fallin

over a black girl's shoulder

it's funny/it's hysterical

the melody-less-ness of her dance

don't tell nobody don't tell a soul

she's dancin on beer cans & shingles

this must be the spook house

another song with no singers

lyrics/no voices

& interrupted solos

unseen performances

are we ghouls?

children of horror?

the joke?

are we animals? have we gone crazy?

As the lady in brown tags each of the other ladies they freeze. When each one has been tagged the lady in brown freezes. Immediately "Dancing in the Streets" by Martha and the Vandellas is heard. All of the ladies start to dance. The lady in green, the lady in blue, and the lady in yellow do the pony, the big boss line, the swim, and the nose dive. The other ladies dance in place.

movin toward snappin beer cans &

all mercer county graduated the same nite

cosmetology secretarial pre-college autoshop & business

all us movin from mama to what ever waz out there

that nite we raced a big ol truck from the barbeque stand

trying to tell him bout the party at jacqui's

where folks graduated last year waz waitin to hit it wid us

i got drunk & cdnt figure out

whose hand waz on my thigh/but it didn't matter

cuz these cousins martin eddie sammy jerome & bobby

waz my sweethearts alternately since the seventh grade

& everybody knew i always started cryin if somebody actually

tried to take advantage of me

at jacqui's

ulinda mason was stickin her mouth all out

while we tumbled out the buick

eddie jones waz her lickin stick

but i knew how to dance

it got soo hot

vincent ramos puked all in the punch

& harly jumped all in tico's face

cuz he was leavin for the navy in the mornin

hadda kick ass so we'd all remember how bad he waz

seems like sheila & marguerite waz fraid

to get their hair turnin back

so they laid up against the wall

lookin almost sexy

didnt wanna sweat

but me & my fellas

we waz dancin

since 1963 i'd won all kinda contests

wid the cousins at the POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE DANCES

all mercer county knew

any kin to martin yates cd turn somersaults

fore smokey robinson cd get a woman excited

The Dells singing "Stay" is heard

we danced

doin nasty ol tricks

The lady in yellow sings along with the Dells for a moment. The lady in orange and the lady in blue jump up and parody the lady in yellow and the Dells. The lady in yellow stares at them. They sit down.

that way everybody thot whoever was gettin it

was a older man cdnt run the streets wit youngsters

martin slipped his leg round my thigh

up & down-up & down the new carver homes

WE WAZ GROWN

WE WAZ FINALLY GROWN

went over to eddie cursin & carryin on

tearin his skin wid her nails

the cousins tried to talk sense to her

tried to hold her arms

lissin bitch sammy went on

bobby whispered i shd go wit him

fore the police arrived

we teetered silently thru the parkin lot

no un uhuh

we didn't know nothin bout no party

bobby started lookin at me

he started looking at me real strange

like i waz a woman or somethin/

started talkin real soft

in the backseat of that ol buick

i just cdnt stop grinnin.

I've never read anything like this book. It's a poem, it's a play, it is view of how black women see themselves and what their lives are like. It was interesting and a good read. I think it will be a book I will want to read again because it was too dense for me to get much out of it on the first reading.

Which is why I bought this copy. The book I read originally belonged to the local library.
