"A fun, appropriate gift for the child in your life, and an even more adorable gift for the adult Star Wars fans out there."
-Geeks of Doom
"Goodnight Darth Vader by Jeffrey Brown is a great gift book for the Star Wars fan in your life. I think it will delight anyone with a healthy sense of humor. For parents like me, it means I get to read a book to my son that we both enjoy instead of it being a one sided affair. It probably also means I read to him even more, which is a great thing. I recommend picking this one up. I have the other books in the series too but I think this is my favorite by far."

"Episode Eight P.M.: Bedtime." Darth Vader may rule the galaxy, but that doesn't mean he can get his twins, Luke and Leia, to go to sleep. They beg him to read them a bedtime story, and the tale takes readers across the Star Wars universe, incorporating characters and references from all the movies, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is adult fans who are most likely to know who Ahsoka is, to be amused by baby Han and Chewie unable to sleep in "this wretched hive of scum and villainy," or to laugh at Admiral Ackbar's line, "It's a bedtime snack!" And thanks to the overall silly content, even if little ones don't catch all the references, they're likely to get a kick out of this, too. The pages are filled with Brown's cartoony and detailed art, giving readers and listeners alike a lot to enjoy...A perfect choice for nerdy parents."

"Goodnight Darth Vader is fun for the whole family."
-Family Choice Awards
"Goodnight Darth Vader quite simply is the perfect bedtime book for your youngest kids. It's filled with gorgeous artwork and lots of scenes of the various characters of Star Wars getting ready for bed. This 64 page hardcover won't take long to read, but will hopefully put your children in just the right mindset to fall asleep. And for us older Star Wars fans, there's some nice nods to the films."
-Roqoo Depot
"I would like to start with a small request.I would like Jeffrey Brown to continue to make "Star Wars" books..forever. He started with "Darth Vader and Son" and then "Vader's Little Princess" and now "Goodnight Darth Vader", which is the best of them all. ... If you have kids, this is a must purchase.if you don't and still love "Star Wars", this is still a must purchase."
-MediaMikes
"Stars Wars lovers and their children will giggle as Darth Vader attempts to coax his twins - Luke and Leia, of course - to sleep in Goodnight Darth Vader by Jeffrey Brown. The rhyming book features fantastic illustrations and imagined scenarios about what the Star Wars universe looks and sounds like at bedtime."

Finally, a nice Goodnight book in the Star Wars universe
By Neko-san
This is basically a Goodnight book in the world of Star Wars, Jeffrey Brown's style. I like it as a Goodnight book, but there are better in this market. It also works as a Star Wars book that you can peruse for a chuckle. This is a could-have if your kid already love Star Wars characters, you are a fervent Star Wars collector or you like Jeffrey Brown art.
Goodnight Darth Vader is a departure of previous instances such as Darth Vader and Son or Jedi Academy. Indeed, this is a book intended to be read to your kid or with your kid to put him in the mood for sleep. Therefore, there is no Star Wars action on it.
SPOILERS :)
The book starts with Darth Vader trying to get Leia and Luke to sleep and ends with Darth Vader, Luke and Leia falling asleep and the mandatory goodnight to each of them. What is in between is a collection of various scenes (I counted 26) where characters from the Star Wars universe are going to sleep presented within two pages and a rhyme on each. Sometimes the rhyme doesn't work, but the art remains interesting. It's worth mentioning that this book include character from the the prequels, clone wars and the original trilogy, which is very cool.
So overall, your milage may vary. I like this book for what it is. However, for a quick chuckle, I prefer Darth Vader and Son or Vader's Little Princess.

A great addition to my Jeffrey Brown Star Wars colleciton
By Rico
I got two of Jeffrey Brown's Starwars books, "Vader and Son" and Vader's little Princess, and love this continuation. If I ever had children and want to get them started off of right with Star Wars, this book would be great to read to them and get them familiar with the Star Wars Universe. I love the illustrations in the book and just how many characters are mentioned in it whither they are minor parts in the movie like Sebulba, the pod racer in episode one or someone major like Han Solo. All of the characters are trying to get to bed in the book and it's hilarious to see how each one tries to do that.

Missed opportunity
By Aaron
It's a cute premise, to work as a bedtime book for kids you really want the meter and rhymes to be right. Mr. Brown does very cute illustrations, but he's no poet. There's no meter established for the stanzas on each page, and many of the rhymes don't work. Rhyming "wookies" with "trees" is awkward at best, for example.
